My name is Hugh McLeod Clode,I live in Batemans Bay on the South Coast of New South Wales in Australia.
I am descended from John Clode who came to Australia in the early 1800's.He was the son of George John Clode who we believe had a wine & spirits business in London.John Clode was born in London on 5/5/1815 He was married to Sophia Isabella Doyle on 12/101847 at West Maitland in the Hunter River District in New South Wales. His son John Francis Clode was my Grandfather.My father was Reginald Eric Clode born 8/3/1891 & was married to Marion McLeod Knight on 19/8 1930.
It is interesting how Christian names seem to reoccur un families.I noted while scrolling through your website the name John occurs often.
I am married & have two sons,Stewart & Cameron,the latter found your website & e-mailed me.
